Frequently asked questions

Are you a member of the Better Business Bureau?

Pearson Roofing has an A+ rating with the BBB, and has established a proven track record with them.

Can you provide references?

Pearson Roofing has roofed thousands homes in the DFW area. We are proud to be a certified contractor and distributor for major manufacturers as we have continually met all required qualifications set for roofing installations. We have both business and residential references available upon request.

How long does a roof installation take?

One of the major benefits of working with an experienced company like Pearson Roofing is that it only takes one day in most cases to complete an installation. The size of your roof and weather conditions factor into the amount of time for completion, but we own our dump trucks and waste is removed from the job site immediately which cuts down on construction time dramatically.

Is Pearson Roofing Insured

Pearson roofing is fully bonded and insured.

There are so many companies, how do I choose a roofing contractor?

You have the privilege of choosing the roofing company in whom you have the most confidence. Even if you get recommendations from various sources, it is your responsibility to research the companies. You do not have to go with the lowest bid, which is what your insurance company would like you to believe. Remember, an inexpensive roof is no bargain if you have problems, especially if your contractor is no longer around to honor the labor warranty. Be sure the company you choose is reputable, and local. Contact the Better Business Bureau to find out how long they have been in business. The contractor you choose should have at least ten years experience locally.

What type of warranty do you have for labor and materials?

Pearson Roofing, Inc. generally provides you with a five year labor warranty on normal installation. Different materials however, have different manufacturer warranties. They range anywhere from 20 years to lifetime warranties. Ask your representative for details about the product that you are purchasing.

When is payment due for my roof?

On residential re-roofing projects, payment is due in full upon substantial completion of the roof. If you are dealing with an insurance claim, we ask for the first check as soon as you receive it. Your Pearson Roofing representative will invoice your insurance company for the remainder of the roof upon completion. Insurance companies will release the second portion as soon as the roof is completed and they have received an invoice. Final payment is due when you receive your second check. This is usually about seven to ten business days from the completion of your roof.

What if my insurance check is made out to the mortgage company?

Most insurance companies will include your mortgage company on the first check. Every mortgage company has its own procedure for releasing funds. You can check with your mortgage company before the job starts to find out what information they require to obtain endorsement, or you can sign a homeowner’s affidavit and let Pearson Roofing take care of everything for you. We are very experienced in mortgage company procedures, and in most cases we already have the information needed because we have worked with your company in the past.

What if Pearson Roofing finds additional damage that my insurance company didn't pay for?

Pearson Roofing has in house Claims Experts who can contact your insurance company on your behalf. We can provide your insurance company with supporting documentation and estimate the cost of replacement or repair, and supplement your claim.
